ASC deal dynamics are evolving — 2026 valuation data for growth leaders
Hospital and health system development leaders are navigating a competitive ASC market shaped by rising acquisition activity and regulatory change.
This new ASC valuation survey report reflects insights from 21 respondents whose organizations collectively own or manage more than 25% of ASCs in the U.S.
Fifty-five percent observed increased acquisition activity in the past year, and 62% reported heightened competition. Controlling interest EBITDA multiples for predominantly in-network, multi-specialty ASCs most commonly ranged from 7.0x to 8.9x.
At the same time, CMS expanded the ASC Covered Procedure List for 2026 and is phasing out the inpatient-only list, potentially accelerating outpatient migration.
