Strengthening pediatric care with better education

Thursday, October 24th, 2024 | 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM CT

Pediatric nurses have a lot to juggle: complex patient needs, family dynamics, and their own well-being and emotional needs.

Effective education is crucial not only for nurse competency, engagement and retention, but also to support continuous improvements in patient outcomes.

Equally as important is education for pediatric patients, which can foster family involvement and enhance the healthcare experience for them and their caregivers. In this session, nurse executives and clinicians will share strategies and resources to elevate pediatric education and support both staff and families.

Key learning points:

  • Develop specialized orientation plans to prepare nurses for pediatric care
  • Support pediatric nurses' clinical and emotional needs
  • Education strategies to spark engagement in pediatric patients and families
