Value-based maternity care 2.0: Building on best practices

Tuesday, September 12th, 2023 | 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM CT

The first generation of value-based models for maternity care were narrowly focused on reducing C-sections and steering patients to high-quality, lower-cost providers. While a step in the right direction, these efforts still fell far short of the impact needed to move the needle on outcomes and cost.

It's now time to usher in a more innovative and comprehensive approach to value-based maternity care, based on best practices and key learnings from 2.0 models that are already operational today.

In this webinar, attendees will engage in a deep dive into a next-generation model in New Jersey that is spearheaded by a leading coalition of regional health systems. Earlier this year, the Health Transformation Consortium announced a statewide initiative to transform the delivery and financing of maternity care. Fast forward eight months and this program is fully operational and already producing directional outcomes we can all learn from moving forward.

Specifically, this panel will address:

  • How this approach meets the varying needs of providers, payers and patients through true alignment
  • Empowering clinical teams with the tools and data they need to succeed in value-based care
  • Lessons learned during implementation and early engagement with patients
  • Leading indicators based on engagement and collected data to date
