COVID-19 as a Catalyst: The Future of Virtual Care

Wednesday, September 30th, 2020 | 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm CT

COVID-19 has ushered in a new normal for care delivery where patients and caregivers prefer telehealth over physical interaction. The same technology that powers telehealth can serve as a platform to enable a broader virtual care experience for both patients and caregivers throughout the care continuum. One can imagine a world where ML-supported detection, diagnosis, and monitoring will help caregivers support chronic care patients from pre-care to post-care, AI-assisted language transcription and translation will help improve accessibility to large portions of patient populations, and where virtual agents will help support call center agents and clinical staff in freeing time so they can focus on more complex inquiries. It is critical that healthcare organizations are thinking today about building this platform for the future.

What is next beyond telehealth? What are the barriers to adoption of virtual care? What is the role of virtual care in closing the gaps for underserved communities? These are a few questions we’ll explore in this webinar.

Learning Points:

  • Understand the role telehealth is playing in improving the health of people-- and entire communities; and where it fits into the broader virtual care paradigm
  • Demonstrate how Improved‌ ‌infrastructure‌ ‌will‌ open up ‌virtual‌ ‌care‌ to ‌many‌ ‌populations‌ ‌that‌ ‌have‌ ‌had‌ ‌limited‌ ‌access‌ ‌to‌ ‌high‌ ‌quality‌ ‌care
  • Identify the path forward and how virtual care will contribute to better health outcomes and put the patient at the center of it all
