Monday, April 27th, 2020 | 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm CST
Clinical documentation is critical to serving patients with COVID-19, but also in avoiding medical billing and payment issues in the months and years following the pandemic. This webinar will give a business-focused overview of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (COVID-19 2.0) and the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (the CARES Act or COVID-19 3.0) (S. 3548), two key pieces of legislation that healthcare providers need to grasp during this time of disruption and uncertainty. Providers will walk away with a firm understanding of how this legislation impacts coding and documentation for COVID-19 patients, along with the reimbursement-related provisions of each bill.
During this webinar, participants will:
- Receive a business-related overview of two critical pieces of legislation around the COVID-19 pandemic
- Obtain documentation guidance for COVID-19 patients, along with policy and process recommendations
- Discuss requirements for coding and reimbursement, specific to emergency medicine and critical care
