Everyone deserves quality healthcare: How FQHCs use telehealth to address disparities

Tuesday, July 13th, 2021 | 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM CT

While it wasn't uncommon for Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) to offer some form of telehealth prior to the spring of 2020, the arrival of COVID-19 spurred many FQHCs to expand telehealth services to ensure continued access to care for their historically underserved patient populations.

Now that telehealth and virtual care have become integrated into FQHC service delivery models, many FQHCs who had to quickly launch telehealth services in response to the pandemic are revisiting their original strategies and delivery systems and planning for long-term sustainability. Federal funding opportunities, including the Optimizing Virtual Care Grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), are an important part of that planning process. During this webinar, Maureen Meyer, consultant for Amwell's Grants & Public Funding Program, will discuss upcoming funding opportunities and grant guidelines specifically tailored for FQHCs.

Join the webinar to learn about:

  • The experience and response of FQHCs during the pandemic.
  • Cutting-edge telehealth solutions that FQHCs are leveraging today to address health disparities and social determinants of health.
  • Best practices on how FQHCs can develop an innovative telehealth strategy to deliver quality healthcare to their patient population.
  • Requirements of the Optimizing Virtual Care Grant and application success strategies.
