Reversing the trend: How rural health systems can improve financial performance with technology partnerships

Thursday, February 16th, 2023 | 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM CT

Rural health systems are struggling. A staggering 183 rural hospitals in the U.S. have closed their doors since 2005 — 25 of which shut down during the COVID-19 era. While financial challenges aren't new, technology is demonstrating how rural healthcare leaders can systematically address these issues in ways that cater to their unique needs, patient populations, staffing and resources.

This live panel discussion will highlight perspectives from financial executives at rural health systems. You will leave the session with:

  • An understanding of the current fiscal environment and challenges in rural healthcare
  • Guidance on navigating partnerships and technology like enterprise resource planning to ease financial burden, streamline processes and mitigate other pressing risks, such as staffing shortages
  • A forecast of obstacles and opportunities
