The rate of patients treated at home continues to rise, so much so that CMS expects home care expenditures to reach $201 billion by 2028 — a 73 percent increase from 2020. Remote patient monitoring claims grew thirteenfold from 2019 to 2022, reflecting utilization across specialties from internal medicine to pain management.
