Patrick Guffey is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Colorado and practices Pediatric and Fetal anesthesia. He serves as the Chief Medical Information Officer at Children's Hospital Colorado and Performance Improvement and Informatics Officer at the Department of Anesthesiology, University of Colorado. Board-certified in clinical informatics, Patrick partners with Epic, QGenda, Codonics, and Omnicell to improve clinical care and decrease medical errors. His research interests center on application of the Electronic Health Record and Clinical Informatics to improve quality, safety and outcomes. Patrick is particularly interested in interoperability and using informatics to drive highly reliable, efficient patient care.
