Hospital price transparency: A guide to quick compliance

This webinar is on-demand and can be viewed at your convenience.

The deadline to meet the federal government price transparency requirements was Jan. 1, 2021. Many hospitals have started the process, but have been delayed by resource issues and data challenges. CMS plans to begin auditing hospitals for compliance starting in January and those not in compliance may face a daily fine.

In order to meet the requirements, hospitals must make privately negotiated, payer-specific price information for all items and services public in multiple formats. This means hospitals must post price information for all items and services available in a machine readable format and launch a consumer-friendly website with price information on 300 shoppable services.

Watch this webinar to learn how to quickly overcome common challenges to get in compliance with the requirements.

Learning objectives:

  • The latest updates to CMS' price transparency requirements,
  • How have other hospitals met the requirements, and
  • Tips and tricks for overcoming common challenges with the machine-readable file.
