1:00 PM CT  Digital transformation doesn’t need to happen overnight, especially when staff are already overwhelmed with competing priorities, COVID-19 surges, and complex care demands. To address communication issues, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center found that expanding on small tests of change was an effective way to facilitate sustainable improvement. Communication and collaboration are everyday pain points for clinicians and interdisciplinary teams dedicated to caring for patients. Inefficiencies in reaching the right person at the right time contribute to care delays, decreased quality of care and staff burnout. Clinical communication platforms reduce the toil of collaborating across health systems and make it easier for clinicians to do their jobs. The result is better, safer care and happier staff and patients.
