How one hospital improved care delivery for critically ill patients

Thursday, February 27th, 2020 | 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm CST

More than half of U.S. hospitals report overcrowding in the emergency department and 90 percent report they frequently operate at or over capacity. With time and resource-constrained staff already challenged with providing more care in less time, new workflow models are emerging to help ensure the delivery of more timely, quality care.

Learn how Sutter Roseville Medical Center implemented new team activation and response processes to save time, improve workflows and simplify communication. Emergency Department Clinical Nurse Leader Andrea Perry, MSN, RN, CNL, CEN, CPEN, will share how Sutter's Emergency Department expedited care for critical patients and decreased door-to-doctor, door-to-alteplase, and door-to-inpatient admission times.

Clinical Consultant Director at Everbridge, Natalie Sensabaugh, RN, BSN, will also examine several innovative workflow strategies that hospitals are leveraging to optimize patient throughput while growing capacity.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Engage key stakeholders in process improvement
  • Maximize technology to improve patient care delivery
  • Identify key metrics to monitor process improvement
