How to meet your patients' price transparency expectations

Tuesday, October 5th, 2021 | 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM CT

The cost of healthcare falls more on patients today than it did 10 years ago and now amounts to 35 percent of provider revenue. This rise in patient responsibility has created new challenges for healthcare organizations as consumers become more aware of their costs.

Price transparency rulings, in effect since Jan. 1, were intended to create competition in healthcare. Consumers can shop for the best prices on some services, creating an exit point in the patient journey and the potential for lost income. The No Surprises Act introduces new requirements on healthcare payment processes and insurers. And increasingly, consumers expect to get estimates on their total costs before scheduling an appointment.

Despite the desire for progress, consistency across healthcare organizations on pricing transparency has been lacking. This webinar will focus on how you can turn HHS rulings and consumer expectations into new opportunities for your organizations. We'll discuss:

  • Patient expectations for price transparency
  • Technology barriers, and how to overcome them
  • Trade-offs between compliance and revenue cycle performance
  • How to measure success and define ROI
