How to Mitigate the Risk of Clinician Burnout [new survey results revealed]

Thursday, August 8, 2019 | 12:00pm-1:00pm CT

Just as the causes of burnout are complex, so are the steps required to combat it. In a recent survey conducted by Spok (April 2019), 92% of clinicians called burnout “a public health crisis,” and declared “increased and ineffective technology the biggest contributing factor.” Yet, 65% say the No. 1 obstacle preventing them from seeking help is a lack of institutional attention and resources. Teresa Niblett, Director of Clinical Informatics at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, will present other standout findings from this year’s survey and discuss the communication tools her organization uses to combat clinician burnout.

Webinar attendees will:

  • Develop keener insight for the role of technology in clinician burnout
  • Learn what measures clinicians believe will help
  • Be equipped to map out communication tools that can improve clinical workflows
