1:00 PM CT  For many years, emergency department overcrowding has been a persistent problem adversely affecting patients, hospitals and communities. The COVID-19 pandemic brought renewed attention to the issue and created a sense of urgency to address it. With hospital resources still strained and staff expected to do more with less, developing innovative care models that effectively use technology is key to mitigating ED bottlenecks and optimizing hospital operations. But what type of technology can actually help?
