By 2032, the average U.S. hospital occupancy will rise from 75% to 85%, pushing inpatient capacity to its limits. In response to these growing constraints and financial pressures, hospitals are turning to AI-driven solutions to optimize inpatient operations.

In this session, Scott Estep, RN, system vice president of nursing operations & capacity management at OhioHealth, will share how his team leveraged AI to streamline discharge planning, reduce length of stay and save over 8,500 excess days annually. By delivering early discharge plans to 93% of patients, OhioHealth boosted discharge volume by 4.4% and achieved $3.32 million in annual savings.

Join this session to learn:

  • How to use AI to reduce length of stay and create additional bed capacity to improve patient throughput
  • Strategies for identifying and overcoming barriers to efficient discharge planning to ensure timely patient transitions
  • Best practices for integrating AI solutions within existing EHR workflows to drive seamless adoption and operational impact
