How SSM Health used AI to navigate operational shockwaves with agility

This webinar is on-demand and can be viewed at your convenience.

Like many health systems, waves of COVID-19 challenged SSM Health with unpredictable patient volumes. At the same time, the health system was navigating other projects, including major construction that constrained daily operations. They also struggled with extremely busy morning rushes followed by slow afternoons that left chairs unused and nursing workloads imbalanced.

After iQueue for Infusion Centers was implemented at four SSM cancer centers during a difficult two years of COVID-19 surges, they saw significant improvement in operational agility, patient volumes and afternoon appointment utilization.

This session covers how the health system achieved:

  • An 18 percent increase in patient volume without adding chairs
  • A 44 percent reduction in infusion wait time and 25 percent reduction in drug wait time
  • A 30 percent increase in afternoon median chair utilization
