Price transparency and shoppable services: What should hospitals do now?

Monday, January 20th, 2020 | 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm CT

In less than a year, hospitals will be required to post payer-specific rates in a machine-readable format and provide consumer–friendly price estimation tools, according to the 2020 Hospital Outpatient PPS Policy Changes Final Rule (CMS–2019-0109).

If you wait until the constitutionality of this new rule is settled before taking these actions, you risk having to make decisions without time to gather data, precipitating a race to the bottom in your market. Join us in this webinar to learn more about the steps you should be taking now to prepare for an almost unimaginable future.

Learning objectives:

  • What are some key strategic considerations for providers facing price transparency.
  • What are possible market effects of various strategies for dealing with this rule.
  • Why do price transparency decisions need to incorporate competitive and payer perspectives.
