Remote Therapeutic Monitoring explained: CMS defines a new digital health vertical

Thursday, December 16th, 2021 | 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM CT

In early November, CMS approved five new Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM) codes. These codes acknowledge the rapid proliferation of digital health technologies in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Built into the 2022 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule, RTM codes have the potential to rapidly expand high-quality remote services to better support patients between visits.

Join us as Nixon Gwilt Law founding partner Carrie Nixon explains the nuts and bolts of these new codes. MetroHealth System Vice President of Virtual Care Michael Dalton will talk about how he envisions health systems using these codes, and emocha Health CEO Sebastian Seiguer will share how they can be used to support better medication adherence.

You will learn:

  • What is Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM)
  • RTM code details - especially those that matter to providers
  • How health systems are planning to integrate these codes
  • RTM use cases and outcomes from emocha’s digital medication adherence programs
