Remote Video Auditing – A proven strategy to reduce Surgical Site Infections, minimize the risk of Wrong-Site Surgeries and improve OR Efficiency

Despite the many advancements in modern medicine, Surgical Site Infections (SSIs) and Wrong-Site Surgeries still occur far too frequently and have a devastating impact on patients, hospitals and healthcare providers throughout the world. However, several hospitals have recently turned to an innovative technology known as Remote Video Auditing (RVA) to combat these preventable and highly costly surgical complications.
This webinar will focus on the results of a recently published study in the February 2017 AORN Journal that demonstrates the significant impact that Remote Video Auditing can have on reducing Surgical Site Infections while also improving OR Efficiency and minimizing the risk of Wrong-Site Surgeries by improving compliance with established surgical safety checklists and guidelines.
The webinar will also include a discussion of a recent study that demonstrates RVA’s ability to increase compliance with the manufacturer guidelines for proper scope cleaning – leading to a reduced risk for cross contamination with “super bugs” like CRE.
Attendees will learn:
- How to use RVA to improve compliance with established protocols for OR case cleaning and terminal cleaning
- How to use RVA to improve compliance with OR safety checklists while also improving OR throughput
- How to determine the financial impact of reducing Surgical Site Infections at their facility
- How to use RVA outside of the OR to reduce the risk of other Hospital Acquired Infections while also improving patient flow
