Saint Joseph Mercy Health System identifies early lung cancer through advanced customer experience program

Wednesday, February 17th, 2021 | 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm CT

Saint Joseph Mercy Health System set out to identify cancer earlier; identifying people at risk and catching cancer while it is still treatable. With a new approach to their lung cancer assessment process that improves the overall customer experience, the program automatically (but personally) guides individuals to the most clinically appropriate next steps.

Now, pulmonologists and clinical navigators focus on high-risk individuals, while lower-risk individuals are encouraged to pursue their next best action. The result is improved efficiencies through appropriate care utilization, capacity management, and cost deflection. Hear how the team used their Hg Mercury engagement platform, specifically healthcare CRM and contact center solutions, to target consumers in their service area most likely to need pulmonology services and begin the process of identifying lung cancer at an early stage.

Join the Director of Consumer Engagement at Michigan Region of Trinity Health to hear how they approached this population health initiative.

In this session you will learn how to:

  • Accelerate programs that benefit consumers who need to understand their health status
  • Improve access to the right level of care, while minimizing lift required of clinical and operational partners
  • Evaluate how an engagement platform supports your population health goals
  • Quickly identify people in your service area who are likely in need of care in the next 12 months
