The Digital Patient Experience: Empowering True Consumerism; Driving Clinical and Financial Outcomes

Thursday, August 1st, 2019 | 12:00pm - 1:00pm CT

For more than a decade, patients have been increasingly moved into consumer-driven healthcare plans and patient self-pay funds now exceed those of other payers. However, the way providers interact with consumers hasn’t kept pace with these changes. Portal adoption by patients has been abysmal while adoption of other digital technologies, such as banking apps, averages above 70% -- even topping out above 54% in the 55+ demographic. Providers who are able to engage consumers in a more “retail” manner – for example, differentiating their organizations to consumers and providing an outstanding, personalized digital experience – will be the winners in competitive markets, improving patient acquisition, outcomes, and loyalty.

Join Spencer Cross, Director, Patient Experience, as we examine what hundreds of patients have told our researchers over one thousand hours of interviews. We’ll discuss what they want and need from their providers, view what an outstanding digital patient experience looks like, and how it impacts acquisition, outcomes, and loyalty.

After viewing this webinar, viewers will be able to:

  • Describe some of the shortfalls that have prevented adoption of patient portal technology by patients
  • Articulate the cornerstones of a true consumer healthcare experience
  • Develop a requirements list to use when identifying digital patient experience vendors
