The patient financial experience: Before, during and after a pandemic

Tuesday, July 21st, 2020 | 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm CST

Even before the global coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the cost of healthcare had become an important issue for patients due to rising out-of-pocket costs and consumerism.

CareCredit conducted a large-scale research study in 2019 to better understand the impact of cost on the patient financial experience; in the past two months, new CareCredit research explored the changing views, habits, expectations and needs of both patients and providers in light of the pandemic.

This webinar will share key findings from the research and how health systems and providers can improve their patients’ financial experience and support their organizations’ success both as the pandemic proceeds and after it ends.

In this session you will learn:

  • The impact of cost and the role it plays in patients’ decisions about their care
  • How the pandemic has affected patients and providers and their financial needs and expectations
  • How patient-centered payment options can improve the patient financial experience and help address patient and provider needs now and in the future
