The AMA studied the impact of COVID-19 on physicians and care team throughout 2020 and early 2021. More than half of the 60,000 respondents reported experiencing at least some symptoms of burnout and 36 percent reported feeling symptoms of anxiety and depression to a moderate or great extent.
